DELIA ORMAN

Young artist Delia Orman references herself to the present
context, where information affluence tends to wear one
down, to confuse. She envisages synthesis as the only
antidote. Synthesis is the only ability to promise salvation,
to offer an equilibrium, even if unstable.
In her artistic world Delia seeks to synthesize those
particular moods that are directly affected by an ephemeral
condition.
Delia thinks that once she manages to capture onto the
canvas an important sensation she can safely say that she
won a fight against time. Time that often runs over
everything and everyone, that – through our capability to
forget – manages to level everything, making us feed only
on the mundane quotidian, the calm routine of safety or the
illusion that we are only what we think we are.
The artist believes there should be no boundary between the
common people and the work of art. Same as life raises
question, a work of art has its own secrets that wait to be
discovered by anyone.
She understands and tries to create a world that is open and
free to interact with the outside, to create moods, generate
questions, leave room for interpretation yet fuel a deeper
journey.
